“Os Amores Libres”, the second album from Carlos Nunez, entered the Spanish Album chart at No. 3.
Carlos hails from Galicia in Northwestern Spain which is often referred to as the world’s undiscovered 7th Celtic country. He began to play the “gaita”, or Galician bagpipes at an early age and this album explores the connection between Celtic Music and Flamenco. The album features an outstanding line-up of guest performers including Jackson Browne, Mike Scott (The Waterboys), Israeli singer Noa, virtuoso accordionist Sharon Shannon and flamenco artists Carmen Linares and Teresa Salgueiro among others.
The album won Italy’s Premio Sabetia-Ter Award, topped the German critics poll and was nominated for a Grammy.
